Recombinant Human TNFR1/CD120a/TNFRSF1A Protein is expressed from HEK293 with His tag at the C-Terminus.It contains Leu30-Thr211 [Accession | P19438-1].

Molecular weight

The protein has a predicted MW of 23.3 kDa. Due to glycosylation, the protein migrates to 38-48 kDa based on Bis-Tris PAGE result.

Formulation

Lyophilized from 0.22 μm filtered solution in PBS (pH 7.4). Normally 8% trehalose is added as protectant before lyophilization.

Storage

-20 to -80°C for 12 months as supplied from date of receipt. -80°C for 3 months after reconstitution. Recommend to aliquot the protein into smaller quantities for optimal storage. Please minimize freeze-thaw cycles.

Background

Tumour necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α) is a pleiotropic cytokine with both injurious and protective functions, which are thought to diverge at the level of its two cell surface receptors, TNFR1 and TNFR2. In the setting of acute injury, selective inhibition of TNFR1 is predicted to attenuate the cell death and inflammation associated with TNF-α, while sparing or potentiating the protective effects of TNFR2 signalling.
